Who said fashion is boring?

The model is called Coco Rocha. She's around 20 and comes from Canada where she was an Irish dancer before she started modelling.

Week-ends

Autumn should go quite fast this year considering that I am busy all week-end of September and October. December shouldn't be a problem with all the Xmas shopping & eating. I just need to fill my November week-ends as this is the month I hate the most. Worst case scenario I'll spend my time at the cinema avoiding the greyish, windy and rainy time.

Two weeks ago I was at the Mexican Independance Celebration Party (same as two years ago, read here). It was super nice as always but boy, how time flies when you're having a good time!

This week-end, I met Elsa, the baby girl of my friend Jonna (you can read her blog here but it's in Swedish). Elsa is 4 months and sooooo cute!!! In the evening, I went to a farewell party for a friend leaving to Barcelona, lucky girl! And on Sunday I had a lovely french lunch made by Isa & Romain before going home with some cartoon books that I borrowed from them and read in my soffa as it was raining for the first time in almost two weeks here... A great week-end! Which put a conclusion to a rather normal week if it hadn't been for a great news that makes me really happy. My friend Vickie found a job! Grattis my friend, you deserve it!

Next week-end (26-27 sept), on the program is: a baby-shower party, meeting a norwegian friend and attending a Bday party.

Week-end after that (3-4 oct): Loooooooondooooooon! So looking forward to it! I haven't been there in 5 years. 5 years? Really? Why did it take so long to book so flight tickets?!?!

10-11 oct: a double 30-year old party with a funny theme, heroes. Have no idea what to wear though...

17-18 oct: dad is coming for the week-end, yay!!!

24-25 oct: week-end in Stockholm with my sister to go and see Muse in concert. Muse is one of my favourite groups and I have never seen them live so I am RRRREEEALLY looking forward to see them. Gosh, I can't wait!

After that... no plans... yet!!!

Holidays: Chapter VI

The holidays seem so far away now... time to make a conclusion. Which was Barcelona. A few figures:

- It was a 75 years celebration: 30 for me, 30 for Sophie and 15 for our friendship. That's it, I've lived as much with Sophie in my life that without. Hope she's part of the rest of it now!

- It was hot, very hot! 38.7 degrees hot. A record in the region for the last 22 years. Thank god for my espadrillos and my Zara dress!

- It was cheap and good: 30 € for two for a whole evening of tapas and beers. We even found a place where a bear costed 1€! We also bought some fruits at an amaaaazing market. Oh it was so good (costed 1 or 2€). If I were living in Barcelona I think I would buy some eeeeevery day!

- It was too short, 2,5 days only... The ½ day in Figueras was a deception and afterwards it would have been better to spend it in Barcelona but oh well... And we didn't even have the time to see the Sagrada Familia. But in most European big cities 2-3 days is seldom enough and I quite like to leave something unvisited. It gives me a reason to come back.

And now a few pics/collages:

The Casa Batlló.

Some mosaics from the Güell Park.

The Güell Park and the view over the city.

Sunset

Although today is September 11th, I won't write anything about it. Did it two years ago there. No, today I'm going to write about something positive, something great going on here. The weather has been nice the whole week and should be even better this week-end! What's great about that? you wonder. Well, Göteborg is quite a rainy town and we had our lot of rain and 15 degrees a couple of weeks ago so it's nice when we can see the sun several days in a row and when the thermometer actually reaches 20 degrees.

I appreciate it and try to make the most of it. Like yesterday when I went for a walk in Slottskogen. I took some paths I had never taken and arrived to this little lac that you can see on the picture below. There was no one and the light was amazing! I thought immediately about how many occasions I missed this summer and that next year we need to go there and have a pic-nic or a BBQ or something!

I continued for a while and went to see my favourites in the park: the penguins! And then my second favourites: the seals! Ah love them!

On my way back I went to Masthuggskyrkan, very close to where I live because there is a great view and with this evening light, I thought it would be even better. What I hadn't counted on is that the sun was going down so I stayed to watch it disappear. What is it with sunset that makes them so intriguing? Why do we love them so much? (me at least)

One of the reasons why I wanted to go out for a walk was also because I know I won't have the courage when it rains (which is doomed to be more and more often now as autumn arrives). But I hope I go out every time the sun is out and shining!

Perfection
